Show evidence coverage
Coverage of a selection per level: how many have children, how many have evidence; with the element lists.
Command evidence.coverage. Reads the workspace and changes no file.
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
selection |
selection |
no | The elements to cover, as element.list takes them; every part given must hold (SR-101 AK2). Its view (else the view of its saved filter, else the core, SR-036 AK5) narrows the counted elements and their children to those it holds (SR-043: no core requirement the variant excludes or replaces), and evidence records count for that view, as the filter condition verification does. |
Output
Section titled “Output”| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
levels |
array of object |
yes | One level per element type of the selection with the meaning need or requirement (a subtype is its own level), in metamodel order (spec question #527). Elements whose status the metamodel marks invalid are not counted (SR-036 AK4, D-044); other types have no level. |
levels[].type |
key |
yes | Fixed metamodel key of a type, property, relation kind or status value. Readable English, lower case, dashes (D-043, SR-010 AK2). |
levels[].total |
integer |
yes | The counted elements of the type. |
levels[].withChildren |
integer |
yes | How many have a derivation child that counts: one whose status is not marked invalid and, with a view, that applies in it; in any repository. |
levels[].withEvidence |
integer |
no | Only for a type with the meaning requirement: how many have at least one verification record in the view (the core without one), of any version and result (hasVerificationRecord, spec question #527). |
levels[].elements |
object |
yes | The UUIDs behind every number, in selection order (SR-036 AK2): pass them as selection.ids to element.list. withEvidence and withoutEvidence only where the level has withEvidence. |
levels[].elements.withChildren |
array of uuid |
yes | |
levels[].elements.withoutChildren |
array of uuid |
yes | |
levels[].elements.withEvidence |
array of uuid |
no | |
levels[].elements.withoutEvidence |
array of uuid |
no | |
incomplete |
incomplete |
no | True when a result is incomplete because targets are in repositories that are not available locally (SR-006 AK2, SR-036 AK3). |
names |
array of elementName |
no | Every element of levels[].elements, each once in selection order, so a reader names them by short ID, identifier and title (#588). Left out when no level lists an element. |
In the command prompt (Ctrl+Shift+P, macOS ⌘⇧P): the command Show evidence coverage.
reqseq evidence coverage, with --json for the output as JSON. Its help:
Usage: reqseq evidence coverage [options]
Coverage of a selection per level: how many have children, how many haveevidence; with the element lists.
Options: --input <json|@file|-> command input as JSON: inline, from a file, or from standard input --workspace <path> workspace root (default: nearest folder upwards with reqseq-workspace.yaml) --json print exactly the command output as JSON --yaml print the whole command output as YAML, problems one per line -h, --help show help
Only via --input: selectionPOST /v1/commands/evidence.coverage on the local API (reqseq serve api), with the input as the JSON body; the answer is the output.
Tool evidence_coverage of the MCP server (reqseq mcp), with the input as its arguments.
