Show evidence status

Verification status of a selection per view, from the evidence records (SR-031) and, without own record, from the children with the children that are missing (SR-034); validation status from the validation records (SR-038).

Command evidence.status. Reads the workspace and changes no file.

Field Type Required Description
selection selection no Which elements a command works on: a saved filter, an inline filter, a package, a baseline or explicit IDs, optionally seen through a variant view.
limit integer no Default: 200.
offset integer no Default: 0.
Field Type Required Description
elements array of element yes One page of the selection in workspace order, each element as element.list gives it, with verification for every element whose type has the meaning requirement: its verification status (SR-031, ADR-0012 “Status rules”) in each view it is in by the view rule: the core when it has no validity, each variant it is in; none for a variant that excludes or replaces it (SR-043, SR-047 AK3), and for a requirement without own verification record in a view its indirect verification from its children (indirect) or the children that are missing (missingChildren, SR-034); an element marked emergent (SR-035) is never indirect; and validation, the validation status (SR-038, $defs/element validation: every need, any other element with a validation record). Derived from the evidence records; it is not the element’s status and never changes it (D-030). While the metamodel is not valid the records are not compared: every requirement is open, every need open, and no other element has validation.
total integer yes Every element of the selection, not only the page.
incomplete incomplete no A repository of the workspace is not available here (SR-006 AK2): its elements, and the records of its evidence locations, are missing.
names array of elementName no The elements that verification names by UUID only, each once in the order first named: the variants of its views and the missing children (missingChildren), so a reader names them by short ID, identifier and title (#588). Left out when it names none.

In the command prompt (Ctrl+Shift+P, macOS ⌘⇧P): the command Show evidence status.

reqseq evidence status, with --json for the output as JSON. Its help:

(SR-034); validation status from the validation records (SR-038).
Options:
--limit <number> default: 200
--offset <number> default: 0
--input <json|@file|-> command input as JSON: inline, from a file, or from
standard input
--workspace <path> workspace root (default: nearest folder upwards with
reqseq-workspace.yaml)
--json print exactly the command output as JSON
--yaml print the whole command output as YAML, problems one
per line
-h, --help show help
Only via --input: selection

POST /v1/commands/evidence.status on the local API (reqseq serve api), with the input as the JSON body; the answer is the output.

Tool evidence_status of the MCP server (reqseq mcp), with the input as its arguments.
