Baseline file
A baseline is a YAML file with name, date, the stored selection, the commit of every repository involved and ID plus version of every element in the selection (D-039, SR-050, ADR-0018). ReqSeq writes the file once and never changes or replaces it; a person commits it with Git (D-036, D-045). No reason or approval field (D-006). The metamodel of the baseline is given by the commit of the metamodel repository (D-021). ReqSeq writes the keys in this order, one entry per line; a file in another layout is read too, more slowly.
Fields
Section titled “Fields”| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
reqseq-baseline |
1 |
yes | |
name |
name |
yes | Name of a baseline (SR-050), unique in the workspace ignoring case and Unicode normal form. The file name is the name made portable, as attachment names (ADR-0004); a taken file name gets -2, -3, …. |
date |
dateTime |
yes | When the baseline was created, in UTC without fractions. Its day is the UTC day (SR-094 AK2). |
selection |
storedSelection |
no | The selection the baseline was created with, which SR-051, SR-094 and SR-103 read. ReqSeq writes it canonical: where as filter.save writes it, a saved filter as its where and view, package and view as { id, title } in the repository of the file and { id, repository } elsewhere (D-058), the title at baseline time; ids items without title. |
repositories |
array of object |
yes | The repositories of the selected elements, the main repository and the metamodel’s, each once with its HEAD commit (SR-050 AK4). |
repositories[].name |
string |
yes | |
repositories[].commit |
commit |
yes | Full Git object ID (SHA-1 or SHA-256). |
elements |
array of object |
yes | Sorted by id, then repository (code units; none first), each element copy once; one flow mapping per line. |
elements[].id |
uuid |
yes | Element ID: random UUID version 4, lower case, never changes (D-017, SR-002). |
elements[].version |
version |
yes | Fassung: normal-form version, colon, first 16 hex characters of the SHA-256 over the canonical content (D-013, D-027, ADR-0005). Example: n1:9f86d081884c7d65. |
elements[].repository |
string |
no | The repository of the copy, relative to the repository of the baseline file: given when they differ or the UUID has copies in several repositories. |
Definitions
Section titled “Definitions”Name of a baseline (SR-050), unique in the workspace ignoring case and Unicode normal form. The file name is the name made portable, as attachment names (ADR-0004); a taken file name gets -2, -3, ….
Type: string.
storedSelection
Section titled “storedSelection”The selection the baseline was created with, which SR-051, SR-094 and SR-103 read. ReqSeq writes it canonical: where as filter.save writes it, a saved filter as its where and view, package and view as { id, title } in the repository of the file and { id, repository } elsewhere (D-058), the title at baseline time; ids items without title.
Type: object.
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
ids |
array of elementRef or elsewhere |
no | A UUID in the repository of the file, { id, repository } elsewhere; one per line, read line by line like elements (ADR-0018). |
filter |
string |
no | Name of a saved filter, as stage 4 files may hold; read with the filter as it is now. Not written. |
where |
condition |
no | Combinable condition (SR-069). Exactly one operator per object. all: every condition holds ([] holds), any: some holds ([] does not), not: it does not hold. |
package |
storedRef |
no | An element of the stored selection: as written, or any reference a person may write by hand. |
view |
storedRef |
no | core (a reference like any other, so not a separate constituent), or the variant as { id, title } or a hand-written reference. |
storedRef
Section titled “storedRef”An element of the stored selection: as written, or any reference a person may write by hand.
Type: elementRef or object or elsewhere.
elsewhere
Section titled “elsewhere”An element in another repository than the file’s (D-058).
Type: object.
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
id |
uuid |
yes | Element ID: random UUID version 4, lower case, never changes (D-017, SR-002). |
repository |
string |
yes |
